2020 Revival: A young man's first New Year's Day without his sickly mother. When he slips away from his own party to ruminate, the spark of a new love guides him back home. A/N: I wrote this story back in 2017 when I was in seventh grade. I couldn't shake off the memory of Jan. 1st in Connecticut when we drove past some animal lanterns that shone brightly against the pond. (Yes, I fibbed because I thought I'd sound cooler.) I edited this heavily, but I maintained the cringe levels by adding my own 2020 writing cringe. ~ 2017 Description: Very old and very late. Based on a walk in a park and having the animal lanterns guide my way. New Years has passed, though.
