I looked him in the eyes struggling to keep the tears at bay. I laughed with a mixture of a sob, " Death must be so beautiful." I whispered as I put my hand on his cheek and held it there for a few seconds till I dragged my hand down and my thumb touched his bottom lip. 
   " To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow.  To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace."   I knew what I was about to do would shatter his heart, but in order for valentine to be stopped I needed to do this. 
" Oh my love" I smiled at him and gently kissed his lips.

"What the heck were you thinking?! You could've died!" "I-I'm sorry..." I looked down at his chest as water glistened down his neck. His arms were around my waist and he was also supporting both of our bodies so it would stay afloat. "Stop apologizing and tell me honestly! Did you jump on purpose?" I bit my bottom lip as my eyes started clouding with tears. "I...I'm sor-" before I could finish, I felt something soft pressed against my lips. I stared down at his closed eyelids and felt my heart racing against my chest. He started moving his lips and I opened my lips, letting him in. It felt like forever before we finally stopped. He pulled away, tugging at my bottom lip and sighed. "We're not supposed to be doing this..." he whispered. "Then why are you doing this?" I asked breathlessly. "I don't know...." he answered. "But...just once more....just one more kiss." Then he pressed his lips against mine's again.

After a while of watching the boy talk to himself and pout while kicking rocks, muttering how alone he was, you eventually found the heart to reveal yourself. Now, you were lying underneath the stars with the boy right next to you, his mouth spewing words at a speed you couldn't comprehend. But that didn't matter, all you really cared about was the hand that was in your own, squeezing it every now and then to know that you were still awake. That you were still by his side.

My heart stung with bitterness, I felt like my soul had just left my body, my smile twitched as if I was going to cry, I can't do this anymore. I was about to tell her today, but she looked so happy, I couldn't tell her, no, I could never tell her. One broken heart is enough.
