We've all been told our whole lives that there are no such things as monsters, that they were only stories. But... What if they weren't? What if, what they told us were the stories, only to hide the truth?
Stories to keep us from seeing reality, to keep us from searching for that which is true.

Lani Simmons, an average teenage girl with average friends, average grades and an average life. She wasn't anything special, sure there was a guy or two after her, but nothing like those cheesy teen romance novels.

She never thought that maybe someday, somewhere she would be important to someone. She never thought that she'd ever be needed for anything spectacular, but that didn't bother her. She liked being average with nothing special to her. It was what she was used to and she liked it, every bit.
