Eleanor (Ellie) Banks's upbringing revolved around baseball. Her father never got the son to share the love of the game, but no worries. He's made the best of it. But after Ellie turns 12 and her father spirals into a deep depression, Ellie can't help but blame herself. So when the time comes, she packs up her bags, goes to the University of Georgia and cheers on her Atlanta Braves, leaving her small town of Bell, Florida long behind her. But what happens when her father needs her to come back home? And what about the cocky new minor league player who just doesn't get how things are down in central Florida? Ellie needs to find the happy place she and her father once were in before its too late. For the sake of baseball.

Since Juliet was left at the altar, she has always been hellbent on being an independent woman who doesn't need anyone by her side. But on a fateful day Morgan walks into a bar and unintentionally changes that. A friendship is born. But is that all it will ever be? *** "Juliet..." Morgan mumbled, his voice soft and possibly even full of hurt. "Listen... I figured tomorrow is... It's Saturday. And I'm back in town later tonight. I was thinking we could maybe head out to Clarky's for a couple and then head back to mine for dinner. Celebrate one year of friendship." "Morgan," I began, my voice soft. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm planning on laying low tomorrow and actually all weekend. I'm drained from work." "Okay," he said, almost too quickly, "then how about you just come over and we can relax. I can make us dinner and we watch a movie and have some popcorn. You deserve to have someone take care of you."
