Daryl Dixon never thought he'd be responsible for anyone but himself. A survivor forged in violence and solitude, he lived his life on the fringes of family and trust. But when tragedy strikes at the dawn of the apocalypse, he becomes the reluctant guardian of his 10-year-old niece, Adeline-a fierce, fragile girl carrying her own scars from a fractured home. Together, they must face not only the horrors outside but also the wounds of their shared history, discovering that survival is about more than just outlasting the apocalypse-it's about rebuilding the broken bonds of family. ** Disclaimer: The Walking Dead and its characters are not my property.
