By saving her sister, Ava recommences a 1000-year-old war between the nine kingdoms, rescues a human that helps her escape the evil kingdom clutches, unleashes a curse that threatens her life and gets the interest of a powerful sorcerer who has sinister plans for her.

After choosing the latter in a risky gamble, both her and the boy might be in for more than they bargained for when they discover the city is under attack.
