He was her small protector, she was his light. They were each others most guarded secret.

Owen and Sang grew up together. They were as close as two best friends could be. Well, as close as they could be with keeping their abuse secret from each other.

It's never really a secret when Sang and Owen both knew something was wrong. They could see it in each others eyes, and the bruises that had the same excuses. Owen couldn't protect her at home, just like he couldn't protect his mother, but he made it his job to protect her at school.

Without warning, Owen moves away, and vanishes without saying goodbye to his little darling, and when he comes back to look for her a few years later, she had vanished as well.
Sang went from being Owen's secret light, to his secret Ghostbird.

What happens when fate intervenes 10 years later and 21 year old Sang meets the boys while interning with Dr Roberts at the Academy Hospital?

Is Sang still the same? Or did not having a protector anymore change her?

What happens when she meets the mysterious Mr. B?

**In this fanfic, the Ashley Waters mission never happens and Owen, Sean and Sang are all 21. everyone else is 19 and 20.

**Title and story plot goes to the amazing @savinggoddess!!**

I do NOT own any of the Ghostbird or any other academy characters, they all belong to the wonderful C L Stone! I just own any non-academy characters I come up with.

{Completed} A lost soul in a sea of anguish and confusion, Sang floats alone, and the treacherous waters around her are starting to consume her; she's beginning to sink. In fact, she's been slowly sinking further and further into those dark depths since she was a child--ever since the abuse began. Ever since her voice was stolen by her stepmother-a jealous, envious woman who wanted what Sang Sorenson had-what the evil woman hadn't: a voice like an angel. Sang's voice is gone, the only thing she ever truly cherished. And she's starting to drown in the waters that have been rising rampantly inside her chest, but can she be saved? Is there hope for a rescue boat? Can a group of nine handsome, loving, charismatic boys be the reason Sang Sorenson rises to the surface? Will they be her life jacket, or an anchor to drag her further into the profound depths below? Can the bird without a voice finally sing once again? ❤ This is an Academy fanfic. I don't own any of these characters. They are all creations of the amazing C.L. Stone, and they all belong to her. Though, you don't have to read 'The Academy' series to understand this book. It can definitely be read as a stand-alone. ❤ Warning! Be warned, there is mature content in this book (i.e. most likely sexual content, swearing, and abuse). So, if you're uncomfortable with that, then don't read this. Also, this book will get worse before it gets better. (It starts off pretty sad.) But there is a happy ending and LOTS of love! 😉😁

*Previously known as Soulbound* Fallen by Lauren Kate meets The Academy: Ghostbird series by C.L Stone. .... When Sang arrives at Ashley Waters Academy, the countdown until her curse takes her away begin. The boys must find the way to end it before it takes her away from them again. With time not being on their side and outside forces threatening to take Sang, will the boys be able to save her or will they lose her again but for good? Time will tell. .... "You weren't supposed to find this yet." I spun around. Owen. But something about him was different. His usual controlled expression was gone, replaced by something raw. Something almost... afraid. I stepped back, my pulse racing. "What is this place?" Owen's jaw tightened. "The beginning." "The beginning of what?" His eyes locked onto mine. "Of the end." The weight of his words settled over me like a heavy fog. The end? The way he said it sent a chill through my bones. This wasn't just a warning-it was a fact. I turned back to the book, my fingers still tingling from the brief contact. Something inside me whispered that this was important, that I needed to open it. But before I could, Owen stepped forward, his expression dark. "Don't." His voice was sharper now, a command more than a plea. I hesitated, glancing between him and the book. "Why?" "You're not ready." I exhaled in frustration. "You keep saying that. That I'm not ready. That I don't understand. But how can I be ready if no one tells me the truth?" His expression didn't change. "Because the truth will break you."
