11 people die. 8 of them were children, the last few were the parents. all but two died out of 10, a 8 year old boy, and a 3 year old girl survived. 
after the horrific death of their family the pair was sent to eastern Japan to live with their uncle. the thing that killed their parents wasn't that of a humans agenda, but it was of something dark and cold, the name it went by had not reached the ears of the two children. but they knew what killed their family. it was a demon.
