The Mythics | rewriting (again)

Kindra Abrams has always loved stories. Tales of true love, fantastical adventures, and happily ever afters always seemed like a slice of heaven to the girl who could never hope to experience any of it for herself, because the title of the high school's resident freak wasn't exactly one that came with many opportunities for friends, and especially not for love or adventures. So Kindra kept reading, hoping that eventually she'd get to the point where the stares and the comments didn't bother her anymore, to where she could love the scars that covered her body from head to toe like a million bolts of lightning.

But it's kind of hard to love something that no one else does.

Through a chance encounter, Kindra meets the first person who doesn't ridicule her, and in him, she finds her very first friend. Ferris Drauer is able to show Kindra that she's so much more that she thinks she is, because not only is she worthy and deserving of kindness, but she has magic flowing through her veins. Kindra and Ferris are part of a magical race of people known as mythics, all of whom are descended from the mythical creatures of lore. They have powers that ordinary people can only dream of, but, as the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility.

Their world is in danger, and they may be the only people who can save it.
