(Cliché) Lavender Davis is your average American teenage punk-rock girl--on the outside. On the inside, she feels dirty, ugly, and disgusting. She has no friends, never had a boyfriend, and is tormented by the stereotypical "In Crowd". She hates herself, but she puts up with life to keep her family happy. One day, though, the gorgeous Ash Rivers waltzes into her life. Despite other people warning him to stay away from Lavender, he takes an immediate interest in her, but she wants nothing to do with him. She can't believe that someone would actually want to be nice to an abomination like her, so she refuses to put herself in a situation that could hurt her. But he's persistent. Can he break through her shell, and get her to love? Or will Lavender forever be in another girl's body?
