He tilted my chin, giving me a curious look. His eyes left mine, and went to my lips and I was melting, my lips twitched of their own accord, aching for the pressure of his against mine. 

“Allison Brooks you have been on my mind for the past few months. Be mine.” It wasn’t really a question, it was a statement. It made me blush and my palms were clammy and I was shaking, my heart pounding so loud I was scared he could hear it. In that moment I forgot Amanda, I forgot the car, I forgot that I’d never stand next to him, I forgot my parents and I forgot everything the past few months had brought me. All that filled my thoughts and my being was this boy in front of me. I clasped his hand so tightly I felt like I would never let go. I wished I didn't ever have to.All Rights Reserved

His warm hand stays at my back and I can feel his body keep me close. I nod and listen to his heart again. Worry suddenly starts to ruin this beautiful moment and I whisper, "What will happen if there's something wrong? What if your faith isn't strong enough?" Tyler's eyes soften at this and his thumb tenderly rubs my cheek. "I'm not afraid of what's to come. I have you." "I'm not as strong as you are." "That's what you think. You are much stronger. I can see it in you, city girl." I smile at this but my heart isn't convinced. He doesn't know what I've been through. He doesn't know how weak I can be. How much of a coward I am. But I promise myself that this time I'm not that woman. I'm his. I can't just run away from my problems like I've done all my life. He needs me no matter what happens. So I'll stay against his chest; listening to his heart until it no longer makes its beautiful melody.

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. My heart clenching together underneath my skin, pulse raising as I attempt to make sense out of all this, and the brief illusion of a shadow on the wall behind her, all tease me when I’m trying to think if this is all true. That’s when it happens; his dark hair flowing in his eyes from his lack of going to the hair cutter and his violet eyes deepening the stare between the two of us. Don’t shoot! I’ll do anything! Just don’t kill him. My thoughts scream at me, making my line of concentration grow slimmer with each word. Tears begun to fill the bottom of my eyes, my throat closing to the full extent, my ever so calm hands were trembling at my hips and the requirement of breath vanish from my lungs. His hands run out to calm this girl, speaking softly and letting her know that it will be alright if she simply lets us go. And just as she starts to give in to his pervasive act, the fire alarm sets off, sending her in a protective fury of gunshots. Hitting him dead on. Felt like a bullet to my heart.

Sam said about to close the door in embarrassment. I grabbed her hand again pulling her into a small hug. My heart was racing and my face was really red. It was burning and I could feel it. I woke up because I heard people laughing, I opened my eyes and saw that I was sitting on someone's lap I screamed, I seem to do that a lot lately. All the boys covered their ears and the car went from the lane, it was scary because we almost fell of the cliff. I turned around and hid my head in someone's chest and he wrapped his arms around me. The car went a little to the right, so I screamed again. We then took a sharp turn to the left the limo was tilting. I look out of the window and saw that there was at least 10 meters to the ground. The door was swung open by one of the guys, the driver was trying hard to keep the front half of the limo on the road.

"First, you grabbed the blanket and ripped it right off of me." I blinked at him, a horrified expression on my face. I slapped his hand away from my hair and turned around. Yup, there it was. Lying on the floor, along with my dignity. He continued solemnly. "And then, you climbed up on top of me." Could you die from your face overheating? I waited for my embarrassment to be complete as he tapped his chin, thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's about it." That's it? THAT'S IT? So I hadn't completely thrown myself at him. Just a tad. And the prize for the unluckiest luckiest horndog of the year goes to Lauren Can't Keep Her Hands To Herself Jules. I grabbed the pillow and smacked him over the head with it. Hard.

The wail of sirens echoed throughout the hospital as the emergency room doors burst open. Two individuals were being carted in while another gurney was carrying someone draped in a white cloth. It was too late for them. I could just barely hear what the paramedics were yelling to the doctors as they rushed to the operating room. "Car crash. Must have lost control. Both middle aged men. One is Native-American with long black hair and light brown eyes. He has multiple lacerations to the abdomen, his skull was fractured, left knee cap shattered, and internal bleeding." the young man explained. "The other is Caucasian with blonde hair and green eyes. His neck is broken, there are four fractures along his spine, we think his spleen might have burst, and there is a large piece of the car door sticking out of his chest. Possibly the handle. Both are in critical condition. There was a third passenger, but she was gone before we got to them." A louder sob ripped through my chest, my entire body shuddering from the force of it. Tears began streaming down my face faster than I could wipe them off. I wrapped my fingers around my ears the same way I did that night, silently begging the memories to go away. Before I knew it, I was rocking back and forth. "It's all my fault I should've died Should still be here All my fault Should be dead Take me Suffering Can't take it Find your happy place Find your happy place Find your happy place." My body was wracking with sobs. I wanted to stop it but I couldn't. I wasn't strong enough. "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry Should've been me Should've been me Forgive me Please forgive me I'm so sorry I'm so sorry."
