-on hold- (This book is pretty much abandoned, I may update every few syzygies)

Alex looked around at the people filling the bar, and saw three somber looking people. It seemed like something was wrong, he wanted to help them. They looked like they were going to cry. Scratch that, one of them was crying. He wanted to see what was wrong, if he could help them... He got over to where they were.
  "Hey, are you three okay?"
"Yes." One said, annoyed. The other nodded, hiding his face. Hamilton looked over at the third person, who hadn't yet responded. He was looking around, as if he was looking for the person he thought Alex was talking to.
  "Hey, are you okay?
The man pointed at himself, and mouthed the word, 'me?'
"Yeah, who else would I be talking to?" Alex said.
  "Y-you can see me?"
Alex sqinted a bit in confusion.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be able to?"

A story about two generations of Laurenses and Hamiltons, and how their lives become entwined through family, friends, self-discovery, and love. It starts out rocky - Frances doesn't know what's going on in her life - her relationship with her father seems fragile, she doesn't exactly have a lot of friends, and the ones she does have have better ones than her. There's something going with her mind, she doesn't know what it is, and she hates it. Philip has a good life - his dad is basically his best friend, but he has a million other friends at school that are all a close second. He's confident he can get with the girl he's recently developed a crush on until he meets her best friend. John is lonely - he's trying to understand his daughter, but she has been more recently drifting away and he doesn't know if she needs help, or if he could even help her if she did. He wishes they could be a team, but she seems to prefer going solo. Alex is overworked - he barely has time for anything. Recently a single dad, he's constantly at the office, working longer hours to support his seven kids. He's got Philip to help him out around the house and with the other kids, at least, but that doesn't make solitarily running a household that much easier. Will the trip to the principal's office that changes all their lives be for better - or worse? -- [Excuse the cover art, it's my own work. Please don't use it without permission. They made a deal, right? Alexander Hamilton teased, belittled, picked on, and bullied John Laurens in grade school. John doesn't care, though, because he decided that all he wants is for Alex to marry him. And he'll do anything to make that happen. Even if they're not a perfect match. Trigger Warning: John struggles immensely with his mental health because I struggle immensely with my mental health. Viewer discretion is advised.
