Their story starts with Moana and Maui on their way to Lalotai after dealing with the Kakamora. After discovering a dying island they meet the soul survivor Natia. Seeing the damage he's caused, Maui offers to bring her along to help undo it. Although spiteful at first, she agrees, mainly because she's tired of being alone.
