Rex Salzar has cured every one of the harmful nanites and he alone remains with his Evo powers. An 'Evo' stands for Exponentially Variegated Organism. It's when "nanites" (which are small as cells but are little machines) randomly activate inside their hosts (human or animal) giving them powerful abilities. But it usually mutates them into monsters that are most times, mindless and destructive. But him being an exception as he retains his sanity and human form only using his ability to turn parts of his body (arms and feet) into various machines in self-defense against other Evos. Making him even more special is that he can cure other Evos. This story takes place after he has cured the world of that plight as he worked along with an organization called Providence. Rex now questions the need for him to be a hero anymore. He knew he was doing the right thing since his deceased parents who died during the first outbreak of nanties would want him to use his powers for good. But he wonders if this may be a good opportunity for him to start living a normal teenage life. Making matters worse he gets put on a seemingly boring mission to follow an advertising company that goes to underdeveloped towns that promises to give the people better lives. Worse yet he gets placed with his long-time partner Kenwyn Jones to go to one of the Caribbean Islands where this is taking place. The two had never really gotten along but he accepts the mission anyway to what at first glance may seem like a vacation to paradise to him. But when the locals start to lock their doors and windows at the sound of an ice cream truck and others who go out are never seen again may be a sign that his job is just not finished. That is if he's up to the task of being an everyday hero ATTENTION- I do not own Rex or any of Man Of Action properties/ past plots mentioned/ characters. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. Luck, choice, a possible spell in those claws, whatever you may think doesn't matter. A black dragon never misses its mark. With agility unsurpassed by the other types they're almost impossible to avoid. But these dragons didn't breathe fire, were a threat, nor in any way the size of a 747 max.
