At the age of 13 her mother passed away, At the age of 15 she was diagnosed with cancer, and at the age of 16 her father passed away and she was sent to live in an orphanage where she is made fun of everyday for her flaw.
But when she finally get the right to leave the orphanage she meets one of her dad's favorite singers, Ed Sheeran.
When Ed takes Mandy in he doesn't expect to get strange feelings towards her.
Although Ed isn't sure about his feelings he can't help but feel as though its a little bit like his song Little Bird.
She was a little bird who was broken, and he took her in and he wants to protect her, but Ed doesn't know Mandy's secret, he doesn't know that she can't always be his little bird.
