Ross Rover was the boy everyone loved to pick on. He was bullied and tormented for years. Even his own brother wouldn't stand up for him. When his family move to another country for his father's work, Ross hopes for change.

Starting eigth grade at Kingsley Primary School in Australia, Ross meets his guardian angel, Lily (not literally an angel). She's fierce and strong headed and won't let her new friend be bullied by people she calls "Pootards". Ross is finally started to like his life and finds it more bearable with Lily by his side, but what will happen when she is taken from him?
