Lela is fighting for survival in an enchanted world as an "heir" candidate in a life or death epic journey to find a wayward prince. This is no fairy tale though. Happy endings are for books with Princesses on them written by human authors wearing rose-colored glasses. They spread lies that she will live happily-ever-after if only she is rescued by a brave, handsome prince. This is not one of those stories. Lela is not the traditional heroine. As a Kenyan refugee without traditional vision, she has strength her sighted counterparts do not. She also has a secret hidden in her blood that even she doesn't know about. She won't find out unless she decides to stay in Fae Land leaving her friends and Earth behind forever. Her choices could literally end everything in existence. Plus, you know... dragons, faeries, love triangles, albino twins, and... you know- Magick.
