I stood there waiting...waiting for my death. I had wandered too far into the forest, and I was going to pay, with my life. I heard the growls from around me, and I braced myself. I wouldn't go down without fighting, because my whole life that what I was forced to be-a fighter. I turned in a circle.
"Come out, if you're so intimidating, so me your face." I yelled, taunting the growls.
"Come out you say?" His voice sent tingles down my spine, but not ones of fear, ones of ectasy, and excitement. "Are you sure you want to face me? To become mine? Because if I come out, that's what will be happen, I'll claim you for myself. I've waited long enough." I heard steps approaching., then I heard bones cracking. That's when I saw him.

Mia had grown up to fast, with an alcoholic father, and an absent mother she was forced to take care of herself and be independent early in life. She had fought tooth and nail to be putting herself through college. Things had finally started evening out for her, and she was finally feeling safe, when she learned that humans wasn't the only creatures walking the earth, and one of them wanted to claim her as his.
