"You know... After you're done here on this island. Would you like to join our crew? For real this time," he smiles, his eyes reflecting the moonlight. You look away as you can't bear his piercing eyes anymore. "I don't think I will be done before you leave-" "I can wait!" he interrupts, letting go of your hand as quickly as he took it. "I mean uhh me and the crew... can wait for you," he stutters out. "This island seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind staying here for a few more days." You softly chuckle. "We'll see," you give him a faint smile with blank eyes. "I mean, who else is supposed to save you when you're halfway beaten to death?" Hearing his halfhearted laugh sent a striking pain through your chest. You swallow hard to keep a sob from escaping your throat as you realize this might be the last time you ever hear it. Tears roll down your cheeks, blurring your vision as you lock eyes with the deep black eyes you've been dreaming about for the past months. His hand gently cups your face and the familiar warmth tingles your skin. He carefully wipes away the tears on your cheek, not once breaking your gaze, before leaning in closer to whisper. "I don't want to be saved by anybody else, y/n." Ace x fem reader Started September 10th 2024 disclaimers! I do not own the cover art. The Lifehold was safe and secure in NLA. The Ganglion hierarchy was crippled, leaving the former regime in shambles. And for once in their time since they crashed on Mira, humanity finally feels at peace. But the work was not yet over. Not for BLADE. And certainly not for Cross. Called into Blade Tower by Nagi personally, Cross is officially ranking up and becoming the leader of his own team, one of Blades first ever multi-division units. Now the leader of the currently empty Team Cross, he has a team to form, and he has no clue where to even start. ... I wanted to write this because of the recent WiiU online server shutdown. There are lots of games that got hit hard by this, and one of them is one of my all time favourite games, Xenoblade Chronicles X. The only Xenoblade game with online functionality. I remember being a little 9 or 10 year old kid running home after school as fast as I can so I can plop down and play on my Wii U, and 9 times out of ten, it was for Xenoblade X. I had no clue what I was doing, but the game instantly hooked me when I saw the giant robot on the front cover. I had so much fun with the game back in 2015-2019, when my Wii U broke, and I still remember how upset I was when it wouldn't turn on no matter how much I tried. Eventually, just a few months ago, I got Cemu working in my computer, and the first thing I did was get Xenoblade X on there, and when I started the game again, it was like I was a little 9 year old kid again. The game is so special to me, and I was so saddened when I learned the servers shut down. So, I want to make a little something for the game. Just to show how much I love the game and its characters, and how much I want to see it one day continue on a new console. So, to any other Xenoblade X fans out there, I hope you enjoy this, and if you don't know anything about the game, I truly recommend looking into it, it's such an awesome experience for any JRPG enjoyer.

Xenovia, a prominent student from Sparta, has just arrived home after years of studying in Athens. To celebrate her return, her family decides to organise a trip to the ruins nearby in the mountains. Upon hearing this, Xenovia is filled with joy and her thoughts are flooded with memories of when she and her brothers used to play as gods in those ruins. But as they make their way to the temple, she starts to feel sick. When her father asked about her state, she brushed it off as the lingering car sickness from the long ride home. As the family arrives, Xenovia wanders off to the temple of Hera with her brothers while her parents keep exploring the rest, while keeping an eye out for their children. The three have a good time, but as she steps foot in the center of the temple, her eyelids droop. She starts having difficulty focusing her vision, her neck stiffens, and she collapses on the rocky floor at the sudden agonizing headache. It felt like someone had hit her in the head so hard she was sure something popped inside her brain. The last thing she hears are her brothers screaming and crying for help, as her consciousness slips away and her vision is clouded with darkness.
