My Christmas Wish

It's the first of December. It's been over three years since the unthinkable happened. Jeffery Justice Bellavance is a young man of twenty-eight. He's just an ordinary man, working an ordinary job. Jeff, as he'd always been called by his family and close friends, never had much luck when it came to love and relationships. He had even worse luck when it came to fatherhood. His only daughter, whom he'd named Serenity Hope, died in his arms only six months after she was born. Shortly after Serenity's death, his marriage with her mom ended. Jeff knew he was ready to change some things in his life after he had enough time to mourn the loss of his baby girl. That was when he met his now ex-wife, Natalie. He was married for three short years. His first marriage was very short-lived. How can you have a successful marriage after you discover that your significant other had been cheating pretty much since the day of your only child's death? Right before his third wedding anniversary with Natalie, which just so happened to fall on Christmas Eve, he discovered that she was cheating on him during his late-night shifts at the Boonesville assisted living center. Jeff always bad luck with his relationships, starting with the breakup of his four-year relationship with his high school sweetheart, Patricia Bianca Weinhaus. He still had hopes of meeting 'the one'; you know, the one who you'd fall head-over-heals in love with. Since it had been almost two years since he divorced Natalie, Jeff made the decision to embark on the endeavor of finding true love, despite the trust issues and fears of being cheated on that stemmed from his failed marriage. There is an annual Boonesville Christmas Ball that was held at the Boonesville Felicity Ballroom that had been held there since the end of the Civil War. The only problem is that Jeff can't find a date to the ball. Will he find a date? Will he find true love before another lonely Christmas rolls around? You'll have to read on to find out.
