The debate over the significance of immigrants in the United States of America has always been - and will continue to be - a heated one, originating even before the USA gaining its independence from Great Britain.
This was an assignment given to me in AP American Literature at the start of my Junior year of High School. It is an argumentative essay/speech in which we were told to answer the questions -
How has immigration changed America? How does America change those who come here?
- and input our own opinion of whether these changes are for the better, or for the worse.
