"Nova, don't..." Ryder pulls away from me, the warmness from his body that was radiating to mine,now fading away. Confusion crosses my face as he gets up from the chair, putting space between us.
"Don't start that crap, Nova" I can tell that he was starting to get frustrated.
"Why not? I am just trying to understand you more, and you won't even let me in to do that!"
"What if I don't want to let you in?! What if I don't want you to understand me?" I was taken aback by his voice. Tears sprung to my eyes, but I blinked them away, not wanting to look weak in front of him.
