Jim breathed, in and out and in and out and in again, and finally straightened, shoulders back and head lifting to face the cabin window that looked out into the far-reaching expanse of space. Stars pricked, fading and brightening once more, and Jim's voice was a low murmur when he eventually ordered: "Computer, send a message to Commander Spock. Ask that he meet me in the ready room in ten minutes-there's been a change in plans for our next assignment."

Commander Leila Karen Kirk is Jim's twin sister whom he hasn't seen in 10 years. Leila is a unique human being with the power of mind control and the ability to learn new skills simply by observing once. Taken away from her family at the age of 15 Leila is the youngest cadet ever to join the Starfleet Academy per Captain Pike's request. For 10 years Starfleet had given her a mission to travel to other planets and to learn the culture and language of other alien races. After an unfortunate incident on the USS Banbury Commander Kirk is reassigned to the USS Enterprise where she is reunited with 2 men she thought she'd never see again.

He didn't know who I was until they caught me, stealing. They grabbed me, told me I couldn't talk. Then, they dragged me all the way to some sort of jail cell and threw me in it, then they slammed the door and punched in a code that activated a lock. I waited what felt like years till he arrived with a doctor and a guy that looked like an elf. I sat their in the cell, on a bench that was connected to the wall. I stared at the floor until the doctor cleared his throat. I looked up at the doctor. My left eye was swollen and purple. I can't remember anything, all I remember was, I was in this building next to a crystal, passed out, and these men were grabbing me, and they put me In this cell. I couldn't hear what the doctor was saying, my vision was going black, but before I passed out, I saw him standing there. He looked older than me, he had brown hair, and his eyes were so blue! He looked familiar to me. Then it hit me, his name was Kirk, or was it Jim? But all I could get out of my mouth before I passed out was, "help". ⭐️ BOOK 1 OF 2 ⭐️ __________________________________ (This is a mix with Star Trek into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond. Some of the parts are from one of those movies, some are made up by me.) (Some parts from those movies are skipped in this book. Also, this book has "into darkness" in the future if Khan was to escape and bring havoc again. If that makes any sense ?) Curiosity for Spock overpowers Jim's fear of the Council and as the pair grow closer he begins to recall what his life was like before the tragedy that struck his life so many years before, leaving him completely alone. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have to be alone anymore.
