"Hello?" Her hands started to shake, looking at the dark figure standing just a few feet from her, covered by the fog, "Dan?"

"C?"Claire shrieked, turning around. It was Tex, one of Claire's crew too, "Woah, hey, Daniel said you'd be here, you should get back to the inn, Melissa called."

"M-Melissa?" Claire couldn't really focus, her heart was still pounding. She turned around to see the dark figure again, but it wasn't there anymore. She shuddered. It couldn't have been Tex who was standing there, he came in behind her when she saw it. "Sure, yeah. Let's go."

Tex went up the ladder first, bringing Claire's things. And just when Claire was about to go up, something deep down made her look back. And there it was. The black figure. Only this time, she could make out the piercing blue eyes that were looking right at her.All Rights Reserved

You should be out finding that purpose, Dax, not here like an idiot staring at some silly girl who thinks a ghost may love her back!" Tears drenched her face, her eyes puffy and red, but mighty and high. He stepped closer, his flickering form barely touching her very real, live one. They bore into each other's eyes, feeding off the other's presence. Still, he refused to open his mouth and respond. "You should be finding that one thing that makes you happy," she whispered, now unable to peer up into his glowing black eyes. He bent down, his mouth just a centimeter away from her ear as he breathed, "What if I've already found it?"

But one day, Daniel vanished and Eve never saw him again. Over time her parents died, and her name and kingdom were forgotten. Eve became poor and went to live with her friend Amber. Who worked at the bakery, in a small village called Shimmer. Eve lived there for years, working at the local tavern to earn money to help Amber. To this very day, Eve still wonders what happened to her golden tiger.
