'Remus found himself reminiscing as he stood in the rain about the first day of Harry's third year. It had been raining like it was now but he had been warm and cosy in the Great Hall. What he remembered most was the words Dumbledore had spoken towards the end of his welcome speech 'happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light' He looked at the beautiful woman besides him, rain plastering her hair to her face, and could not help but feel that he had found his light although she was more like his roaring fire, so why did he continue to resist?’

(Previous title: "Sunshine - A New Dawn for Remus Lupin") Remus Lupin survived a war, raised a son, and went back to teaching. He wasn't planning to fall in love again-especially not with his new best friend. Mary Scamander is brilliant, warm, and just chaotic enough to keep him on his toes. But grief is complicated, and feelings are messy. Luckily, Teddy has a plan. Or many. (Unfortunately, most of them are disasters.) NOTES: This story is a remake for my fanfiction "A New Dawn". 1. This my lightest fanfic ever, despite it's sad first chapters. 2. Please, bear in mind that English's not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes or errors. 3. I don't usually go against canon. However, the idea of Lupin surviving, even with his spirit appearing to Harry, fits perfectly with the concept of a coma and could have happened. We can fit it into canon. I absolutely adore Tonks with all my heart, but I've had a crush on Remus Lupin ever since I read The Prisoner of Azkaban almost 20 years ago, before seeing the film. Back then, I used to write fanfics (during classes!!! Oops! Even so, I still got good grades! haha) about Remus Lupin and a character entirely inspired by me, called Mary Hallow. In one of those fanfics, set in the Marauders' era and called "Memories of a Marauder Wolf" -which I'm currently trying to rewrite, but it hasn't been easy-I worked through my teenage traumas with the story I wrote. Although nowadays I only read and write 'Remadora' fanfics (Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks), I decided to revisit Mary Hallow to work through my adult traumas (or as I like to say, 'exorcise my demons'). So, even though this Mary Hallow no longer has a certain issue that defined her in my older fanfics, many of the things in the story are-once again-things I personally experienced. Basically, it's just another 'fanfic' to complement my therapy sessions. LOLConcluida
Beauty and the Beast (Remus Lupin)
Rose Marie Belle, a kind yet clumsy Gryffindor witch was starting her third year at Hogwarts. Deemed different from many, people teased her with the nickname, Beauty. What she thought would be a better year took its twists and turns. From a new professor predicting the unimaginable, to learning new things, to secrets coming out. Thinking her life was set at first, it turned out to be the opposite. For not taking warnings, she soon find out listening would've been the better option. Though her life throughout the years changed drastically somethings seemed to stay the same, she was smart, brave, kind, caring, clumsy, and daring. Adding new friends to old would bring up her past and the lies she had been told. Even so, she still tried her best to push through. While this happened, feelings began to rise for someone she had not known for for long. The story is Post-Marauders, but Pre-Harry. Remus Lupin is a tortured man. A lonely werewolf, he can't stay too long in one place or another. When word reaches him from Dumbledore that his old enemy, Severus Snape, has made a potion that could very well be his salvation, he has to go to Hogwarts. Ashlynn Corvin has had a troubled past. Orphaned when she was younger she attends Hogwarts, which has become her home. When Winter Break comes around and she is forced to remain at Hogwarts yet again, she runs into a man who looks even more broken than she is. What will come of this chance meeting? What will happen once two kindred spirits find each other? How will things work out when they realize love doesn't only make you happy, but can also break you? And, most importantly, what happens when they find out that their darkest secrets are most likely the ones to drive them apart?Concluida

Remus was glad he could play the song well enough by now that he didn't have to look down at his hands constantly, but then he made the stupid mistake of looking up at Sirius. He was drenched in sweat and his satin shirt clung to his torso, his dark hair hanging over his face in glistening black waves. Remus felt his breath catch in his throat as Sirius locked eyes with him, making his way over to Remus as he continued to sing, before leaning against the back of the piano to sing to Remus. Remus prayed that the heat of the stage and their performance would suit as a good enough excuse as to why his face was probably flushed red. He didn't think that Sirius Black could look any more gorgeous than he did at that moment, his grey eyes alive with joy, the light catching them as he stared at him, singing in his slightly husky voice, his face shiny with sweat and that damn guitar slung around his shoulder. OR in which the marauders decide to start a band whilst they're at hogwarts :) NOTES -so obviously this is set in the 70s, so i know technically not all the songs in this fic would have been released at the exact time this is set but i just really wanted the marauders to vibe to certain songs so please just accept it ;) and i mean- they're still songs from 70s-80s it's just that some of them came out a little later than when the marauders were in fifth year... -i also know that technically sirius ran away from home in the year this was set but i dont really touch upon it so sorry ab that, and i dont talk about prefect remus either but hey oh well -also the marauders do use the room of requirement in this fic, even tho in canon its likely they never discovered it at their time in hogwarts since it doesn't show up on the marauders map but hey it's a fanfic so don't come at me ty :) started: 12th May 2023 finished:Concluida
