" You know, when you first left, I thought the worse. I thought you had died, Mica." I said rather calmly, surprising the boy sitting across from me. But the surprise quickly faded away from his features.
         All that came from him after the shock was a simple," You thought wrong." Now it was my turn to be surprised. I looked at him- Long blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and the jacket he wore the day he went missing, or rather more, left - and realizations came to me. I was right. The mica I knew did die that day. What was left of him sat in the shell of what once was the boy in front of me.

          Cade and Mica, two best friends that have been inseparable since third grade, have been through everything together. Vacations, birthdays, deaths, really anything that involves human beings. When Mica goes missing, however, their small town of Crooksburrow goes into almost a frenzy.
