I wrote this poem about my mom when I was in highschool. To be honest, I'm completely ashamed for having wrote it. My mother was and is still going through a very hard time and we've always been extremely close. The strain that her problem puts on our relationship is evident, but I still love her to the moon and back. This poem encapsulates my emotions from an evening laying awake in my bed. To this day when I read it aloud, I get chills down my spine and often find myself holding back tears.
