Veronica Cortez is not your typical delinquent. She doesn't have some sob story to justify her behavior, either. She's just rude and impulsive, with a knack for getting in trouble and being emotional.

Forced to attend a fancy boarding school in Boston, she is fierce in the belief she does not belong with her fellow peers that are immensely preppy. Desperate and extremely pissed off, she cuts off all social interactions with her fellow peers.

At least she had planned to, and was succeeding, until the most average boy came her way and forced his way into her life. Dragging along his family, of course.

Thrust into an improved version of the world she was trying to escape, she is granted exactly the things she hadn't wanted and precisely the features she had been missing.
