Hope Hillburn was born to a life of servitude and never once questioned her role in society. As a lady's maid to Noelle Parrish, she had everything she wanted out of life; a secure and honorable post, a decent room to call her own, and ample time to write fantastical tales of winsome creatures while her mistress, Lady Noelle, attended the various society events offered by the ton.

Lady Noelle Parrish knew that her father was anxious to see her wed but she never imagined he'd go behind her back and arrange for her to marry against her will, to a duke with a questionable reputation no less. Disheartened by the prospect of marrying a man she's never met and the possibility of foregoing a lifetime of love, Noelle makes the impulsive decision to flee England with an American gentleman she's only just met.

There's only one problem...

Lady Noelle's father, the Earl of Brattondale, would never permit her to marry an untitled American, nor was he willing to go back on his word to the duke. In her desperation, Lady Noelle convinces Hope to take her place after noticing an uncanny resemblance between them both.

Against her own better judgment, Hope agrees to take Noelle's place when she realizes there's no other way for Noelle to flee to America without causing her family disgrace. Thrown into a life she has only ever viewed from the outside, Hope must convince everyone that she is a lady lest her farce be discovered. She is confident that she can handle society's strict rules of propriety but she soon learns that guarding her heart from falling in love with an incredibly handsome, self assured duke with a penchant for snarling isn't going to be quite as easy.

As Sutherland's new king, Emory Davercher faces countless challenges, but nothing as excruciating and frustrating as his mysterious, eccentric betrothed. *** When King Emory of Sutherland receives news that his betrothed is on her way to Sutherland, he sends her away before even laying eyes on the woman he has no intention of marrying. Months later, after a narrow escape from an assassination, he flees to his childhood home where he discovers a massive problem. Due to an unfortunate mishap, his betrothed has not left Sutherland. She's been in his secret estate all along. Grand Princess Florence Paulet of Gavaria and her cousin, Lucy, thinks her arrival in Sutherland will be easy. She doesn't expect that her betrothed, King Emory of Sutherland, will send her straight to an empty estate on an island where they fend for themselves for months. And when he finally shows up, he has the audacity to fool her by introducing himself as someone else. After having killed dozens of chickens with her bare hands to stay alive, and with lying as her ultimate weapon for survival since she left Gavaria, what else can an annoyed, blithe, and audacious Florence do? Of course, she has to return the favor and make him twice the fool. He thinks he's fooling her, and she finds fun knowing it's the other way around. As the harsh winter traps them in the estate, lies, little accidents, and undeniable attraction draw them together stronger than the snowstorm. But not as much as Florence's true reasons for leaving Gavaria, which are also making their way to Sutherland.

Dearest gentle reader, it has been bought to my attention a certain Miss Bridgerton is back in town. In the hallowed halls of Regency London, where whispers of romance and scandal intertwine like the delicate tendrils of a climbing rose, Lady Elliana Bridgerton returns to society with the weight of familial expectation upon her shoulders. Fresh from the jubilant nuptials of her sister, she embarks upon her own debutante season, a time when her heart and aspirations dance precariously on the precipice of high society's demands. Yet, as she dons her finest gowns and steps into the glittering ballroom, longing for a match that would elevate her standing, fate conspires to divert her course. For in the midst of swirling gowns and the cadence of laughter, she encounters the enigmatic Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. With his brooding charm and an allure that ignites a fire within her, Elliana finds herself irresistibly drawn to the very man her heart had sworn to avoid. As the pair navigate the treacherous waters of societal expectation and personal desire, Elliana must confront her own heart's inclinations, discovering that true love often lies in the most unexpected of places. Will she dare to defy the conventions that bind her, or will she succumb to the pressures of propriety? In this tale of passion and intrigue, secrets shall be unveiled, and the bonds of love tested, as Lady Elliana learns that sometimes the most enticing romance is the one that finds you when you least expect it.
