Kate is a normal girl you would see every day, black flowy hair, a pale white face (Ok I know what you're thinking you fricken describing a vampire she NOT a vampire!) Anyway she is not some girl in her book, being a daughter of a drunk cursing mother, and a father who's sleeping with the first girl he sees is not something to be really proud of. Kate has to go through high school without dying of embarrassment or worse.... dying by her mother's hands.
