All is well, until a rival pack invades. Alima is jumped by a large black wolf who fataly injures her. As he walked off, he looked back at her with sadness in his eyes, his bright emerald eyes. A few days later she's back at school and she sees a boy she's never seen before with emerald eyes. His name is Dimitri. Realization sets in that he is the one who attacked her.
