Para empezar, decir que no es la típica historia del nerd que lo maltratan y/o se enamora de una chica super guapa y etc. El protagonista, Javier, es un chico "común y corriente" que va al 5to año de bachiller, con la peculiaridad de conocer muy bien a las personas que la rodean, junto a ellos, sus problemas. "Me dicen nerd" tiene el propósito de ser acerca de cada uno y tocar un poco temas de cada uno, con personajes sensitivos con gustos propios, así como los problemas que a cualquiera de nosotros nos puede pasar, todo claro visto desde el punto de vista de un "nerd"All Rights Reserved

This short story is about the perspective of a woman named Niya who is the main character. Niya moved out of her old neighborhood away from her family and old friends, choosing new surroundings and a new life. Her family didn't give her much attention nor love when she was younger so it lowered her value for herself, including past experiences when she felt used to feeling more confident in herself and when socializing. She thinks that by moving, it'll be a new start for everything, maybe even hopefully meeting new people who can fulfill her loneliness, and do more. Sometimes, her sadness gets a hold of her and causes her to lack motivation sometimes, especially on preparing her new house. She enjoys nature and prayer quite a lot because it calms her down with the beauty of it. She got a bit used to most of her surroundings. She also dreams to become a cook, having a heavy passion for cooking food. Later on in the short story, She faces a terrible injury that needs to be taken care of by a professional. Without background information, after her injury heals, she needs to decide whether she wants to go back to her house or stay "home" ... was it really an inconvenience..?

I wrote this to make El Oasis make sense in my own head, because while the Zurena interactions were on point, the story-line was total crap. I'd prefer not to give too much away here, but I understand that people like to know what they are getting themselves into, especially given the length of this work. So I will say this... This is written as a sort of stream-of-consciousness piece that takes a dive into Zulema's psyche as she navigates a meaningful day and reflects on herself and her relationship with Maca. It's written from Zulema's perspective, and truthfully second-person usually isn't my favorite, but it just felt right for this story. So for those of you who find that approach awkward, I hope you will still give it a chance. This is the first fic I have ever written, so feedback is truly appreciated. And since I couldn't get the d@mned Dedication option to work, I will add that here as well- This fic is dedicated to my little fried shrimp who inspired me to write it, encouraged me to publish it, helped me with the Spanish bits, acted as the world's greatest sounding board, and without whom it would not have ever happened.
