Gracious is a story from a female teens perspective in her years of high school. We start with Grace, an angst teen starting her freshman year of high school. We then quickly change to her personal life and an explanation of depression. Then an awkward transition to friendship and love. Gracious is meant to confuse its readers. The awkward jumps within thoughts and conversations is intentional and meant to represent how our minds are always racing, and jumping around in our heads. Grace suffers of severe depression and lives with the constant burden of anxiety while trying to live a love life as well as her own normal life. (This is a WIP and suggestions are appreciated.) I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone!
