The short, innocent Melian decided to spend one year of her live in the U.S. She wants to get to know new people and to experience the American way of life. - At least that's what her family believes. Nobody knows the real reason behind her wanderlust.

The truth is she wanted to flee from the people who bullied her every day of school.

But when she arrives in the U.S. she has to realize that the people seem to be mean all over the world. She feels misunderstood and lonely. Especially Josh, the footballer and hockey player knows exactly how to hurt her feelings.
