Mabel Chiamaka Eloghosa had just two plans by the end of wicked October.

The first was to defend her project thesis, the one she'd poured funds, sweat and sleepless nights into.
The second was to get as far away from UNIBEN as physically possible.

Neither included assault, a broken hand or human trafficking.
And certainly not him; the man who would save her life, and in a cruel twist, end it.

Mabel was an ordinary girl at heart - simple, dedicated, a homebody who had her future neatly mapped out: graduation, internships, a steady job, her own apartment, and finally the chance to give back to her family.

But life rarely goes as planned.
