When the world around them begins to fall apart, they don't notice...that is, they don't notice until their worlds begin to fall apart. Death takes good people away from them and their money burns until they have almost nothing.

Flare has always had everything, but he wasn't spoiled. He appreciated the things he was given in life. The one thing he is afraid of is the night, mainly the light the moon brought to the world. It was ominous and mysterious. If he can't figure something out instantly, he avoids it, which is why he hates when the night comes. Little does he know that the ball of light he worships during the day is pushing him toward his enemy: the moon.

Cinder was only a baby then. Some say that Lisabeth was trying to save her baby sister from the dangers in the immortal realm and that they came to hide down on earth. But one thing was for certain the sisters were underaged and won't use their powers in the mortal realm until they turn 19.
