------------- "Why're you staring at me?" I ask teasingly. I hear him letting out a breath, of embarrassment or guilt I don't know. "I may have unintentionally hurt you, on several occasions. I may have done the wrong thing more than once. But despite all of that I still like you, hell if I know I might love you. I've never felt the way I feel about you for anyone else before. I can't stop thinking about you. Your laugh, your smile, your voice. How you manage to pull a joke at a time like this, to how peaceful, and beautiful you look when you're sleeping." I smile. "You okay? Did you hit your head or somethin'?" I tease. "Shut up." ------------------------- Olivia, a 16-year-old girl with a tragic past. Her sister was kidnapped and brutally killed, her father comes up with the brilliant idea of moving. As she's getting settled in school, she meets this mysterious boy, and before she knows it she is dragged into hell. Literally. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. This book is for those who love slow-burn, chaotic, "how can they be that stupid," "about bloody time," wrench-your-heart-but-make-you-feel-so-good romances. Because what's life without a bit of drama, right? Throw in epic chaos, a princess on the run, and some evil bad guys (because every story needs a villain), and you've got a book that will keep you knee-deep in drama. If you've come here looking for your traditional synopsis, read on, my lovely readers. And if what you really crave is a mix of whump, smut, and rom-com with a side of catastrophe, then look no further-I've got you covered. __________________________________________________________________________ Proper Synopsis When a devastating attack reduces her home to ruins, Princess Sera's only option is to flee. Seeking refuge on Earth, she meets Matthew, the cocky, confident leader of the Allegiant Academy. Little does she know that the man she's starting to fall for is the same person who wields immense power-the one she dubbed 'Ace' and has been her bitter enemy since childhood. But hey, that's not exactly first-date material, is it? Nobody kicks it off with, "Oh, by the way, I have an alter ego who's a fiend-fighting, blood-killer type that hunts savages for sport." Right? As Sera tries to keep her princess status and crystal warrior identity under wraps, she throws herself into becoming someone else. After growing up in war, happiness doesn't just return-it sneaks up on you, like plants pushing through cracked concrete. But when her past comes knocking, threatening to undo everything she's painstakingly rebuilt, she'll quickly learn that truth has impeccable timing-and her destiny has the absolute worst habit of showing up when she least expects it. But seriously, what did she expect? When it comes to life, destiny, and fate, it's never really in our hands, is it? _______________________________________________________________________________

[BOOK TWO] "Anniversaries to some are like counting the years spent doing something great, years spent together, or years spent alive." I started slowly, voice dropping to a drawl as I peeked cautiously out of my bedroom blinds, scanning the road to see if there was a cloaked figure watching my every movement. "I view anniversaries as counting down the days till death finds me." *** After the events of her wonderfully packed 21st birthday, Addison was ready to retire back into her home and never again see the light of day. It wasn't a totally bad idea. After all, her family's generations-old riches was enough to tide her over until the day her past finally catches on, and until that day finally arrives, she had no intention to step out of her front door. And to think the last time she did, she ended up in the game of cat and mouse with a cynical hooded spirit that wanted her dead and her soul in a glass bottle for his own little sadistic collection. Silence had followed the whole year after the disastrous party. For nearly 365 days, Addison had no trouble with unwanted evil celestial beings lurking around her house in an attempt to take her soul away with a world-stopping kiss. However, the silence was too often, and the world had become too quiet. Reason being? Apparently, Death's new move was to kidnap her best friend Minnie Hoover in an attempt to bait her down to hell itself. Life became much quieter without one-third of her little clique. And so Addison ventured away from the safety of her home, in search of her best friend. After all, silence creeps the heart just as death does, and the world was now deadly silent. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #9 Highest Rank Teen Fiction: #77
