They think they are pretend "detectives" investigating a old discarded case. Little did they know, if they keep going the way they are now, it will go to show, some things... are better off undiscovered.

In any case, it is revealed that all is not well within the family behind the smoke and mirrors. They try to move on from the tragedy of their loss but things just continue to get worse for them as their whole world starts to crumble and the family deteriorates. They are in for a big surprise when they eventually realize that the people around them are not who they appear to be. It's a matter of being deceived by the people they trusted. Go on a journey with these characters as they experience highs and lows in this suspenseful psychological thriller. Covered with a black ski mask, watching me. *** All 19-year-old Layna wanted to do was forget about the guy that broke her heart, and move on with her new boyfriend Brian. But instead, she unwittingly attracted the attention of a stalker. Someone who had been watching her every move for a month, plotting and planning for the perfect moment when he could take her. What Layna never would have expected was that when he finally kidnaps her, she would have to undergo "The Test". The Test that the girls before her had gone through. Add in the fact that it's an older case and the murders had just stopped without word makes it even harder. But what's now creepy is that the same exact murders are happening again, with the same use of a pool ball at the scene. Can the detectives solve the case in time again? She chose to work there in order to help others, solve mysteries and be quiet doing so. She was immediately hired as she was so intelligent and everyone knew how weird and alone this girl was. One day, she comes upon a very weird mystery that involves Matthew Sturniolo, a boy with many mysteries himself, but are they going to get solved like the others Anne has to deal with? Or is he too hard to figure out and she gives up on the only person able to bring her out of her misery? *this story is the most made up thing i've ever thought of, i just love these type of stories and since i write fanfics i thought why not make one that i've never seen before?Complete
