*PLEASE READ*: So this note has now been moved to the top of the story. Um, I know if I say don't read most people will casually just read it anyway, but I recommend after chapter 16 you just stop reading till I manage to redo everything. In Flo Rein's future dystopian world, mankind has moved up to the sky in a city known as Arcadia, where as far as the inhabitants are concerned their world is perfect, but the truth they’ve been hidden from is far from that. 

At the age of sixteen, on the same day each year, all children must undergo a series of tests that will determine whether or not they’re a threat to Opia; the government that rule over them and for Flo, it means defying them to hide her true knowledge. For those who have seen the truth beyond the lies they’ve been fed are banished to Earth; the polluted planet that still lies below, inhabited by mutated monsters. 

Caught in the lies that the city is built upon, Flo must uncover the truth; faced with a choice between a world of oblivion and one where no one is safe…

When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.
