Her mother was killed due to loosing in a battle of strengths against her father, a bitter amd self-serving demon who embodies the game and it's effects.
Dameon Forrester is the oldest of three siblings and he is now crowned king of the demons, now giving up the game he was forced to play, causing his closeness with Adrianna to strain. While trying to get her back in his life for good, he discovers something neither of them could ever imagine.

Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended.
