"Life is not a bed of roses" No one knew and understood this better than Olanna.

Life for Olanna was never easy. She was born an average Nigerian. She was shy, but her excellence in school was a trait to be jealous of. She was also devout Christian. At the 'wrongest' time, Gozie makes an appearance in her life and makes the worst decision.

Watch Olanna grow and become a principled young lady, who has been taught the painful lessons of life the hard way. And Gozie being rich, gets everything he wants. He knows what he wants!

So guys, this is my first official Nigerian book. I have always wanted to write this. But, oh well. So read and vote, comment and share! Most of all, enjoy! Mwahh! 😘

No copying, or should I say stealing! 😑

Adopted numerous times, rejected just as much times as she was adopted - moving from one foster home to another. This girl learnt to be tough, she wasn't weak, she didn't want to get broken by anything she'd come across. Instead, she'd give herself a reason to look at the odds with a shrug, and move on. Alongside a crazy highschool experience and overwhelming infatuations as well as teenage dramas and insecurities, Alisa Chimezie, threads through the eggshells placed before her, with her head held high and an indifferent shrug. A thirst for power, shielded by greed and selfishness, A tango with the devil, in the shadows of her own nightmare, A bath in blood, and secrets - too scary to reveal... All these are served on her plate, with her nightmares slowly coming to life, in the Ekwegh mansion. The lies on their tongue, so frequent, yet brisk with it. Everyone seems to be liars, and are not who they claim to be. And in this hazy madness, and cobweb created by her fears, Alisa is left all alone. Adopted. Rejected. Wronged. One can only hope that her guard isn't left broken and shattered. Warning: Contains a few cussing and a little bit of violence. Not much. ~Bittersweet~ Copyright © Chisom. A. S 2020

57 parts Complete Mature
Although no one knew it, Desire was struggling. It was highly unbelievable because as a top worker in one of Lagos' most exclusive and influential night clubs, she was making close to twenty thousand naira per night. All her other friends were living large, and building houses, so why couldn't she? Her father had died five years ago, leaving them drowning in a sea of debt. Her mother was sick, and couldn't do anything, so from an early age Desire had had to wear the mantle of responsibility. A twenty six million naira debt was on her neck, and for five years, Desire had consistently been paying it off; while simultaneously keeping a roof over her mother's head, and saving up money for school. Salvation came at last; but in form of the hardest, most handsome man she had ever laid eyes upon? General Babalola Halal. He was offering five million Naira for a whole month of exclusive sex. Pure, undiluted gratification. It was her job, and this offer was coming on a platter of gold. Even more tempting was the fact that it was the exact amount needed to be free of her father's debt. Completely. But he was hard, and demanding, and excruciatingly virile. Accepting this posed a risk far greater than millions. The stark reality of losing everything she stood for, and gaining nothing in return because a man like this never gave anything of himself. He was rich, five million Naira meant nothing to him. But she knew what she was getting into, she knew how addictive his touch was, and how hard it was to stay sane around him. Could she do this? Was losing her sanity a price she was willing to pay?
