I rate this story G = should be appropriate for young/sensitive readers. Except Chapters: 5 & 6 which I rate PG-13 as they deal with fairly intense/emotional/scary flashbacks from the main characters past.
Worst things mentioned in these 2 chapters: Drunk parent starts fire in backyard almost burning down the house, child has to put fire out. parent is abusive when drunk & crashes into a tree while drinking & driving.
sensitive/young readers can skip these chapters & still enjoy the sto
