Hearing the words out in the open makes me recoil from his touch, stumbling backwards into another wall-like chest. But the words don't come from the man standing in front of me. Whipping myself around with widened eyes, I find myself in the now-cold stare of Grayson himself.
"Get away from me!" I yell. "I'm done with your games. You're the one who tore me from my family. You're the one who dragged me into this sick, twisted, lifestyle. And now I'm the one who has to pay for it."
Grayson takes slow steps towards me until he is standing less than a few inches in from of my heaving chest. His piercing gaze and calm voice keeps my feet planted in their place. "Careful, love. You played with fire and now we're the only ones protecting you from getting burnt."

I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living.
