John and Jude are twins, Jude having been born a day before John, and were inseparable. That is, until John was killed halfway through the first trimester of their senior year. The only thing the cops were able to find was his coat which Jude was allowed to keep so she could remember him. After weeks of having dreams where John is speaking to her she wakes up and finds out that his spirit was attached to the coat. Together they work to find his body through flashbacks that he gets throughout their journey, but that's just the easy part. Once the body is found the only thing left to find is the killer.
