In order for her father to regain the fortune he gambled off, Lucy Heartfilia is married off to a member of high society and apart of the Saber Tooth Family. She doesn't argue, but rather steps into the white gown and waits for her groom. She's married off at 18, before she ever considers actually marrying for love. Then, it was only a dream. Three years later, she finds the one who will heal and destroy her all by just asking her to dance.
Natsu Dragneel is a criminal. A man plagued with a dark past and a habit of smoking a pack a day. He escaped the harsh famines of Europe to live freely in The United States. He committed his first crime when he was 13 and entered the country illegally. At 22, he meets a woman who changes what he believes and his world, for better and worse, just because he felt sorry for her one night at a pub.
