Brian Watt is a seventeen year old kid living in the reserve,fifteen years later after invasion of the Muddles. His father escaped three years ago to join the rebels in the Ruins. He 
escapes in search of his father. But no one, either in the Ruins or in the Reserve,understands what is going on. The rebels don't know what they were fighting against. Why did the muddles come to earth? What do they want? What are n a dark secret,which even he couldn't hold. He comes to learn something about the new earth; never trust anyone,not even family.
