Cliche title, but I have a reason for it
This AU is set in the late 90's-Early 2000's btw
John has been blind all his life. He's gotten used to the near constant teasing, taunting and bullying for having to bring his service dog, Philip, everywhere. He wasn't expecting anyone to bug him that fateful day at the library, but meeting Alex was probably the best moment of his life.
Alex has lived in the Caribbean all his life, and has just recently raised enough money to be able to go to America. He passed the entrance exam to King's College with such astounding scores that he got in full scholarship. He wasn't expecting to run into anyone that fateful day at the library, but meeting John was probably the best thing that ever happened to him.
Will contain mentions/doing of adorable gay fluff, some straight fluff, self harm, bullying, swearing, and other things. If you don't want to read that, you know where the back button is hon <3

Alexander Hamilton is adopted by the Washingtons, along with Lafayette. They're both starting 10th grade, but for Alexander, it's a brand new school. Lafayette's best friend, John Laurens, has piqued Alexander's mind. But when Alexander meets him in person, he falls head over Converses. This story is a Hamilton Highschool AU that takes place in the present, which WAS 2017. It only follows mainly Alexander's thoughts and emotions. (Switching to other POVs for jokes and plot.) I can't stop you though. Basically how the soulmate thing works like: When you kiss your soulmate, a band in your skin forms on your left ring finger. You can change the band to look however you want. If your soulmate is feeling a strong emotion, your soulmate feels it too. If you get hurt, your soulmate feels a muffled version of that pain. Yes I used a Heathers quote as the title FIGHT ME (Don't actually I'm weak, there's a reason I act instead of playing sports) (Not that acting/dancing/singing isn't hard but ya). I really had no idea what I was doing when I started writing this so sorry if it's weird or things don't make sense. (also yes, all of my ships are gay, and there will be french but i will translate, since i know some french.)
