After Frank's parents suddenly have a divorce, he is forced to live with his ather that lives across the country. During the travel, the pilot has a heart attack and dies.  Frank,  having no background knowledge on flying a plane, panics as the plane crahses into the wilderness below him. When he wakes up he finds himself lost in the woods.  Little did he know,  he was not alone.

What made it worse was that it was completely his fault. His mother notices his behaviour afterwards and sends him to a therpy group. He knows he can't be 'cured' because there was nothing to 'cure'. This was him, left with the faded memories of the 'incident'. Gerard Way had to move schools because of bullying. Of course, it wasn't exactly bullying if quart labled it as abuse. His arms are adorned in long sleeves at all times. His mother takes to this and sends him to therapy. Group Therapy.
