We live in a town called White Bridge. Hazel is the troublemaker of the town. She may even be hiding something that nobody knows but her. She takes things to the next level when she is threatened. Macie is moving to this town with her father and everyone thinks she is a basket case since her mother died. All she wanted was her mom and dad back in Wellington with her in their big house. But one day she meets Hazel for the first time. One of the boys in her group gets under Macie's skin and makes her feel better, free, open. Some serious stuff happens and Macie and Hazel are both faced with very similar difficult choices. This was written by two people so that's why there are 2 chapters a day instead of 1 two different writing styles and it switches every chapter from hazel to macie

In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Mystique Amberson is a Senior in high school and lives with her older stepsister who has never had to work a day in her life and after she became eighteen, she started having guys buy her things. Since both their parents are gone and don't really pay attention to either one of them, they just send them money every month while they travel. Mystique can't wait for when she graduates in a few months because she would be able to leave finally with the money she has saved up from her job and be able to travel for a bit before going to college. She feels things are going as planned and soon won't have to deal with her step sister's bullying as well as her other school bully who happens to like her stepsister. Yoga, her job, her new friends and most importantly, her new baby that is the light of her life. Despite the absentee baby daddy, she's going to fill her son's world with all the love, time, attention and security that she missed out on as a young child. Their world is bright and happy, shiny and safe (as far as she's aware) and she will do everything in her power to keep it that way. Her move back to Ventura is the best thing (next to her baby) that's happened to her, ever, so she is not going to let the grumpy, jerk of a club lawyer/club brother get in the way of her own happily ever after.
