Ophelia Avondale was like any 19 year old girl: she had annoying younger siblings (twins, who she had nearly lost last year, in her case), she had parental estrangement (for fifteen years she had been without her mother and, still fresh in her mind, she had lost her father a year ago), she had overcome the stutter she had had since she could talk and she had been dating a boy she'd known since childhood for over a year.

Draco Malfoy, however, was not like any 19 year old boy: his darkest secret, darker than even he had known the extent of, had eventually dragged everyone he cared about into the darkness with him - but it had never been his fault. It was over now.

For nearly 16 years, Ophelia and Draco had been the closest of friends, telling one another everything, and, for over a year, they had been dating. But when both are faced with the sudden loss of their parents and the death of the Dark Lord throws everything they thought they knew into the balance, how will the confusion of normality affect them?

"Mr. Malfoy, where are you going? You just woke up from a great fall after all, I'm sure your friends can come here, instead of you going to them." Who was Malfoy? Oh right, it was probably him. A little bit late, he realised that he should have told her about the complete memory loss since he had no idea where he was going to go once he left the hospital-like room. On second thought, maybe making a scene would have actually been a good idea. Well, it was too late to turn back now. "I will just be going out for a little stroll...around. I must admit that I am in dire need of some fresh air. My, how long did you say I was out for again?" He put his hand to his chest like it was an absolute travesty to have not been told. "I-uh...four days, Mr. Malfoy. You were out for four days." "Well then, I shall be going now. Toodaloo!" Madam Pomfrey stood completely frozen for a long moment like this was the exact opposite of what she expected to happen when Draco woke up. "Mr. Malfoy, wait!" The witch eventually called out, but Draco was already out of the door. Draco wakes up in the hospital wing having no idea who he is and how he got there. Turns out he fell 20 feet down the stairs and got his memory wiped. What else could go wrong? Meeting Harry Potter definitely was fun, but can he figure out who obliviated him and get his memories back? Or will he be stuck like this for the rest of his life? Drarry story Draco is best friends with Pansy, Theo, and Blaise This story is a mix between being fun and being angsty, so be prepared for sudden jumps between light and dark (I can't help how my brain thinks, just roll with it) For teen and up audiences. TW: Mentions/implied reference of child abuse and only a splash of language There will be warnings at the beginning of a chapter if necessary. The cover is the result of me being supremely bored. Yes I know it sucks but that's kind of the point because I am no editor, just ignore it as best as you can
